Danelectro Sitar Swami Sitar Simulation Pedal Reviews 4

Got it as a gift from musiciansfriend.com, it was $130 at the time, but i'm pretty sure it has dropped to $100 by now.

Sounds great when playing funky solos, which is what i got it for. If you get the controls set up right, it gets some great tones that really mimic a sitar pretty damn well. It has got some cool graphics on it too, making it look cool.

If you wanna play chords, forget about it, cause it sounds like shit. The controls are pretty limited and its hard to get varied controls. Kinda bulky, and it eats up batteries like no ones business, so an adapter is a must.

Like i said before, it's kinda bulky and heavy, making it a pain to carry around. Its mostly metal casing, with a little plastic on the back, so as long as you don't try to throw it off a building, it should hold up for a while under normal use.

If you are a guitarist who loves crossing over styles into Indian music, like me, buy it cause it sounds great when played in some Indian-Rock hybrid stuff. As for anyone else, it's not worth the money at all, especially if you have no interest in Indian music.
